RSVP for Our Trans Youth Community Law Workshop: Know Your Rights, Protect Your Rights

It has been a challenging time to be a transgender young person in South Carolina – especially after the 2022 legislative session, where anti-LGBTQ forces pushed through the passage of a bill excluding trans young people from school sports and stigmatizing trans youth healthcare. This is a time when we need to come together as a community to prepare for the work ahead.

Join us for this community law workshop, led by attorney Colleen Condon, about trans youth rights and how you can protect your family in a post-Dobbs era in a state with active anti-transgender laws. We’ll also discuss the passage of H.4608, which restricts transgender students from participating in school sports, and share ways that you can fight back against this law, whether by sharing your story, becoming a plaintiff, or more.

This workshop will present legal analysis of trans youth rights in the South, concrete steps you can take to protect your family, and time for discussion and Q&A. All are welcome to this free virtual event. Just RSVP below and we’ll send the link closer to the date.
